PREBEM: PhD Researchers in Business Economics

Logo prebem is the Dutch organization for PhD Researchers in Business Economics and Management, which is embedded within NOBEM. Currently, eleven Dutch universities participate within the NOBEM organization. The goal of this organization is to facilitate contact, knowledge sharing and cooperation between PhD students. Therefore, PREBEM helps PhD students to make a successful start with their academic careers and enables them to participate in existing and new academic networks.

One of PREBEM's activities is hosting a conference for PhD students in the Netherlands and Flanders every year-and-a-half. This conference is organized in close cooperation with NOBEM with the next (11th) conference to be held in March 2010. The conference enables PhD students to present and discuss their scientific research, and thus participate in the scientific debate. But it also offers PhD students the opportunity to get into contact with existing research networks or to start new networks. In the past, a number of PhD research networks have formed in this way, such as: the E-Dispuut on Information Management and Information Systems, the Innovation Network on Innovation and Organization, the Human Resource Management Group, the Alliances and Business Networks Group, and the Corporate Social Responsibility Group.

The PREBEM invites PhD researchers in all relevant fields of research in business economics, management and organization science to attend the conference. There are no particular constraints with respect to topics, fields of interest or disciplines.
