Research interests

Professor Venugopal is Professor of Supply Chain Operations and faculty research director at Nyenrode Business Universiteit.

His teaching and research activities are focused on Supply Chain Management, Operations Management and Modeling Business Decisions. He has held visiting faculty positions in China, India and other European academic institutes.

His research has been widely published in leading International academic journals such as the European Journal of Operations Research, International Journal of Production Research and Decision Support Systems. He received “Professor of the year Award” for Teaching Excellence in MBA programs and Masters Program at Nyenrode. He received the ‘MCB Award for Research Excellence’ in 1997. He is a member of the Editorial Board of IIMB Review, Systemic Knowledge Management Journal and Logistics Solution Magazines. He is also referee for several International Journals such as European Journal of Operational Research, International Journal of Production Research and International Journal of Flexible Manufacturing System. He is listed in Marquis's ‘Who's Who in Science & Engineering’.

Professor Venugopal holds a PhD in Operations Management, MS in Industrial Management from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, India and an MS in Operations Research from the Regional Engineering College, Trichy.
