Research interests

Koos Krabbendam (1946) got a doctorate degree on a study about the organizational impact of industrial automation and published several articles about that subject. He is member of the editorial board of the International Journal of Manufacturing Technology and Management. From 1993 until 1999 he served as dean of the School of Management Studies. In that period he set up a new educational program on health care technology and management and started a research program in that field. He is one of the initiators of the International Association for Research in Health Care Technology and Management (HCTM), is associate editor of the International Journal of Health Care Technology and Management and member of the editorial board of the International Journal of Electronic Healthcare.

Professor Krabbendam has a wide interest in innovations in the field of e-learning and published quite a few cases for the e-learning environment. Since 2000 he is a visiting professor at the College of Business Administration, Hunan University, China and did research about technical innovation in Chinese State Owned Enterprises. His current research interest is in the field of management of technical innovation with a focus on process innovation both in manufacturing and in health care.
