SOM course on interviewing

SOM COURSE ON INTERVIEWING

Lecturer:

Dr. Ben Emans (University of Groningen)

Aim:

This course will equip you with the knowledge and skills to gather relevant and good data in interviews. The course is a mixture of exercises and theory.

B. Emans, Interviewing, theory, techniques and training, Stenfert Kroese, Groningen, 2004.

Preparation:

Four weeks before the start of the course the participants receive the course package, including the book and two assignment descriptions. Both assignments, which together will take about ten hours, have to be accomplished before the start of the course. One is related to a specific case, common for all participants, the other is linked to each participant’s own research project.

Requirements:

Participation in a research project including data-collection by means of interviews.

March 23-26, 2010

Venue:

Het Kasteel, Melkweg 1, Groningen.

Tuition Fee (for non-SOM participants):

1000 euro (including accommodation, literature, lunches and one diner).
