The first workshop, which took place November 4-5, 2004 in Brussels with participants from 21 countries dealt mainly with the challenges of corporate governance in the context of social, political and economic environments prevailing in different parts of the world.
The second workshop which took place November 24-25, 2005 with participants from 23 countries addressed international aspects of corporate governance.
The third workshop with participants from 26 countries addressed recent developments in corporate governance.
The fourth workshop will address situational, strategic, manangement and controlling dimensions of corporate governance.
We invite papers that explore Corporate Governance issues from both theoretical and practical perspectives.
Topics of interest include the following: 1) Best and worst cases of corporate governance in different countries (situational dimension of corporate governance). 2) Strategic direction at the board level (strategic dimension) 3) Nomination, feedback, remuneration and development of supervisory and executive board members (board management dimension) 4) Strategic control and risk management at board level (controlling dimension)
Those who are interested in presenting a paper at the workshop should submit and 3 page abstract (max. 500 KB)

LOCATION :
The whole workshop will take place in the Hotel Métropole in which the EIASM premises are located (Place De Brouckère-plein 31, 1000 Brussels).
The Hotel Métropole is marvelously well located right in the historical centre of Brussels, just a few steps away from the “Grand-Place”, the “Bourse” and the “Theatre de la Monnaie” and close to the central and north railway stations, that each have direct connections to Brussels International airport.
TIMING :
The workshop will start around 8:30 am on November 15 and will end around 5 pm on the following day.
The fees include participation to the workshop, workshop material, 2 lunches and morning and afternoon refreshments.
